En los próximos días el Congreso Chileno terminará de revisar y aprobar un proyecto de ley que regula los aspectos jurídico-laborales del llamado “trabajo en plataformas”. Si las normas propuestas son aprobadas, Chile será uno de los primeros países que cuente con una respuesta legislativa a la pregunta que ha sido objeto de debate en todos los rincones en los que se ha desarrollado esta industria: ¿se trata de servicios prestados en condiciones que ameritan la intervención de la legislación laboral? En simple, ¿son los miles de personas que prestan servicios para las empresas de plataforma, trabajadores dependientes?
En este informe, el equipo de Fairwork Chile hace un análisis crítico de cómo la nueva ley pretende resolver los problemas asociados a las condiciones de trabajo en el sector, y da cuenta de ciertos problemas con la norma que pueden debilitar su eficacia.
