El informe de Fairwork Ecuador 2020 evalúa las condiciones de trabajo en seis de las plataformas más importantes del país (Uber, Cabify, Glovo, Rappi, Encargos y Envios, y Ocre) frente a los cinco principios de trabajo justo de Fairwork.
En general, nuestras puntuaciones reflejan que queda mucho por hacer para garantizar la equidad en la emergente economía de plataformas ecuatoriana. En un contexto de regulación local insuficiente, se necesitan acciones e incentivos internacionales coordinados para compensar el poder desequilibrado de las plataformas transnacionales.
Las puntuaciones de Fairwork ofrecen una valoración independiente de las plataformas. Al dar a conocer las condiciones de los trabajadores de plataformas en Ecuador, y en toda América Latina, Fairwork pretende ayudar a trabajadores, consumidores y los legisladores a demandar que las plataformas se vuelvan más responsables de sus prácticas laborales.
