Las plataformas digitales se han vuelto esenciales durante estos años y durante las cuarentenas han mantenido el trabajo remoto de profesionales y trabajadores de oficina. Al mismo tiempo, miles de trabajadores, que perdieron su empleo durante la pandemia COVID-19, encontraron en las plataformas digitales una forma de ganarse la vida durante la crisis.
El informe de Fairwork Colombia, el primero en el país, explora las “Promesas de las Reformas al Seguro Social” en la Economía Gig. Para ello, el equipo de Fairwork Colombia ha analizado ocho plataformas (Rappi, Ifood, Mensajeros Urbanos, Uber, Didi, Cabify, Beat y Hogarú) en tres sectores diferentes: reparto de alimentos, transporte (transporte privado) y cuidado doméstico.
El proceso de puntuación de Fairwork consiste en una investigación documental, entrevistas con los gerentes de la plataforma y entrevistas con los trabajadores. Al crear conciencia sobre las condiciones de los trabajadores en Colombia y en todo el mundo, Fairwork tiene como objetivo ayudar a los trabajadores, consumidores y reguladores a hacer que las plataformas rindan cuentas por sus prácticas y crear un mundo de trabajo de plataforma justo.
